1994-2012 - Celebrating 18 years of teaching!

"Is Today a Kindermusik Day"

Young children around the world are asking that very question every day. That’s because Kindermusik children can’t wait to sing, move, explore, express, create and simply experience the incredible power of music.

When it comes to choosing your child’s activities, the options seem endless. One choice provides more ways for your child to grow and thrive than any other. Kindermusik.

As the world’s most respected name in musical learning. Kindermusik has been enriching lives with the most carefully researched, developmentally based music program. From birth to age 7, children can experience the magic of music without the pressure to perform – just the encouragement and guidance to stretch their boundaries with creativity and fun!

Session 1:
Creatures in My Backyard:
Give children something to sing about in their own backyards. Be the flower from the "seed's" perspective. Run and jump in rain puddles made from hula hoops. Snack on whole wheat mini-waffles dipped in honey, just like a real honeycomb. Shoo real flies and sing "Shoo Fly."

Your child and Zoo Train make a natural match-- always on the move!  Hop on aboard the traveling zoo train: bring your own stuffed animal for the petting zoo; wear long white socks on your hands for polar bear paws; and learn about real animals in the zoo. Sing new songs in new languages.  Create and learn more about each other and create many happy musical memories, too! Each lesson includes craft/snack time to develop those fine motor skills:  make stringy monkeys, clothespin giraffes and more!

Through storytelling, your child will develop an early awareness of rhythm, movement, singing, and drama. Each lesson in this newly developed curriculum features a new tale from around the world, explored through multi-instrument and multi-cultural elements. All told, it's an around-the-imagination adventure of the greatest stories from Europe, Malaysia, South Africa, and more.   A Home CD, book, parent poster, and lummi sticks allows the children to continue their multi-cultural experiences of music and drama long after the class has ended.

Day one: European Bremen Town musicians
Day two: A Malaysian tale about a small deer who outsmarts a crocodile
Day three: A story of six blind men and an elephant from India
Day four: A Lazy Jack Appalachian folk tale about a kid who matches the wrong solution to his pocket problem
Day five: A Zulu tale from South Africa about a woman who rides a turtle to the bottom of the sea to find stories to tell her children

About the Educator
Ellen Daniels is a licensed, trained Kindermusik teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory and an M.B.A. from Kent State University.  She has taught all of the Kindermusik curricula for over ten years and has personally taught nearly 1,000 students.  Classes are held in Richfield and in Fairlawn on weekdays and Saturday mornings throughout the year.

Daniels Music Studio is owned and operated solely by “Miss Ellen” and each student receives the benefit of her decade of Kindermusik experience.  She continues her training through bi-annual teacher conventions and classes offered by Kindermusik International.

What is Kindermusik?
Kindermusik initially was developed in Germany and was brought to the U.S. in 1976 by Dan Pratt, Kindermusik’s founder.  Based on research and input from many early childhood music and behavioral experts, Kindermusik brings a variety of musical and sensory experiences to every child who participates.

Each class includes opportunities for individual playing, singing, and listening while learning at his or her own pace.  At every level, the Kindermusik curriculum respects and mirrors your child’s inner world with a secure, stimulating environment.

The goal isn’t to make your child a musician, but to make your child more eager to learn, more awake and wholly alive in his or her world.

Music is a dynamic sensory experience that evokes a powerful response in young children.  In fact, early exposure to music is a vehicle for profound learning.  Imprinted on the receptive mind and body of your child, the beat of a drum and the clear tone of a bell can reverberate across a lifetime.  And research has shown that music provides a strong foundation for cognitive skills useful in many disciplines throughout your child’s lifetime.

Come and see for yourself what Kindermusik can mean to you and your child.
